You should not pay a lawyer unless he can do you some good.
I cannot tell you whether I can help until we have looked over your case. SO, THE FIRST CONSULTATION IS FREE. You should not have to pay to decide if you have a case.
No one knows what will happen in a law suit, so the law does not allow anyone to guarntee an outcome as a way to reduce your risk. But, I can reduce your risk by putting my money in the case.
IF I THINK THE CASE HAS VALUE, I WILL PAY EVERYTHING UP FRONT. You can repay the expenses if we win. I will eat the loss if the case goes against us. I put up my own money to back my judgment.
When I take a case, I take it on contingency. For you that means that we will divide the proceeds of any settlement or judgment but you will owe me nothing if we lose.
This way of working is as fair as I know how to make it. I get paid only for good results and take the loss if the results are not good. Now, let's discuss the cases where I apply theses rules:
ENVIRONMENTAL: Benzene is a common chemical found in cleaning solutions, gasoline and other products. It is a cause of leukemia, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and other neo-plastic diseases that kill and debilitate. I do not think manufacturers should profit by harming others. They should be stopped from producing extremely dangerous chemicals or releasing them on the unsuspecting. The companies should pay for the harm they do. We will represent those harmed by Benzene and other toxic chemicals.
I am a mechanical engineer who designed pollution control plants and equipment. As an engineer, I devoted my time to protecting others from harmful chemicals. I still do that as a lawyer.
